The site was located on the south side of Poolbeg St at its junction with Luke St in an area reclaimed from the Liffey estuary. The main interest on the site was provided by a series of burials, some of which had been disturbed prior to my arrival. These interments appeared to be associated with a Lutheran church of early 18th-century date. Laureen Buckley has highlighted wear patterns on the teeth of some individuals which are consistent with clay pipe smoking.
