Pre-development testing took place at 26-29 Liffey St./39 Strand St Great, Dublin 1 between the 8th-10th August 1992. The excavation uncovered two sets of cellar walls belonging to the buildings fronting onto the respective streets. As all activity on site dated to the 18th-19th centuries, it is of minimal archaeological significance. Funding was provided by the developer.
