Three east-west trenches were dug to the north of the Fitzpatrick Hotel in the area which had been a plant nursery. There was over 1m depth of soil lying on natural, a stony gravel, and only a single sherd of 19th/early 20th-century pottery and a glass bottle fragment were recovered.
