A watching brief was carried out on 30th December, 1991, at Tullynagracken North in the area to the east of a ringfort. A proposed housing development is laying a roadway here that may intrude upon archaeological deposits. An area, measuring more than 7m x 40m, was opened by mechanical digger to the east of a 10m open-space perimeter zone outside the ringfort. Excavation continued to a depth of 0.6m. The soils revealed appear to be formed entirely naturally. No archaeological features or deposits were noted.
