In January 1991 human remains were discovered during turf-cutting in a bog at Donadea, Co. Kildare.124 The bone was found at a depth of approximately 0.9m below ground level. No further details as to the disposition of the remains are known, but the bone was identified as the left femur of an adult (1999:223).
