Twelve test trenches were opened over a two-day period at a proposed development site beside Wine Strand. The area was investigated because of its proximity to an ogham cemetery (Cuppage et al, 1986 The Archaeological Survey of the Dingle Peninsula, 250-2) No features of interest were uncovered.
