Investigation for evidence of archaeological activity took place at a proposed development site located within the boundary of an Early Ecclesiastical Enclosure in Killavillig Td, Co. Cork.
The enclosure has been levelled and survives along part of its original circuit as a modern field boundary. A modern road bisects the enclosure. The proposed development site lies adjacent to the road and just within the southern perimeter of the enclosure. Three trial trenches were opened and investigated. No archaeological features or artifacts were found.
