In May 1990 human remains were discovered by a fisherman in the bank of the Ward River at Swords, Co. Dublin.91 The two skulls were noticed approximately 1.2m apart protruding from the riverbank. The discovery was reported to the NMI by the Fingal Independent. Only the upper portions of the bodies were recovered, and it is likely that the lower portions are still in position. The site was not visited by NMI staff and the bones were not acquired. In 2001 a surface find of human remains was made at The Vicarage, Swords Glebe. The remains consisted of one fragment of a femur. The site was not investigated.92
