This site was discovered during the removal of topsoil while making a driveway into a new house. Following a report from the local Garda Station a rescue excavation was conducted over a period of two days by The National Museum of Ireland. The grave consisted of a single long cist c. 1.7m in length and varying in width from 0.3-0.5m. It was constructed of thin slabs of shale. Six large slabs formed the lintels. The cist contained the skeleton of a woman aged 18-25 years. It was oriented east west with the head to the west. No grave goods were recovered from the cist. No other features were noted.
