One of six sites selected for investigation along the proposed route of the Kilcullen Link Motorway.
During quarrying operations in the area in the past, human skeletal material was uncovered. A rescue excavation in 1959 recovered three skeletons which were dated to the Bronze Age.
During the recent excavation, ten investigative trenches were extended over the area of motorway construction. Though a substantial area was examined, no archaeological material was discovered.
