An arc of this feature 4.5m in length was exposed after removal of topsoil. It was 1.3m wide and survived to 20cm in depth with a gently curved profile. It had a heavily charcoal-flecked fill with lenses of ash.
Excavation was limited to two small cuttings across the ditch as the site lay in a very wet area. No features were noted in the 'interior'. There were no finds.
