A small rectangular cist was disturbed during ploughing and a rescue excavation, lasting three days, was undertaken by the National Museum of Ireland.
The cist measured approximately 0.93m x 0.75m and its long axis was orientated NW-SE. It was composed for the most part of slabs of coarse granite of local origin and contained two Food Vessels and a cremation. The Food Vessels - a decorated ribbed bowl and a small, plain ribbed bowl - were placed, one in each corner, at the SE end of the cist.
