The monument had been damaged during a land reclamation scheme and the principal intention was to replace stones which had been removed. While excavating one of the stone sockets, a cache of 65 flints, mostly scrapers, knives and points, but with a small amount of flint-working debris, was recovered. The material appeared to be Neolithic. The report will be published in the next U.J.A.
