The pit burials were exposed in a sand and gravel section face in a natural hillock overlooking the Vartry river. One of the burials was badly disturbed, all that remained were some rim sherds of a Cordoned Urn and some charcoal flecks and cremated bone. Enough remained to show that the Urn was originally inverted over the cremated bone. The second burial was located at a depth of 0.70m and 0.50m north of the first burial. It consisted of an inverted Collared Urn containing the remains of one adult. The Urn was protected by a polygonal slab.
