While developing a house-site, the trough of a fulacht fiadh was discovered. The bottom of the trough was formed of two adzed oak planks. One side and one end plank survived in situ and portion of another side plank came to light but was disturbed at the time of discovery. The bottom timbers were grooved to take the end board. At one corner the base of a post survived. A low mound of burned stones had existed at the site but this was destroyed before the investigations took place.
