Two short seasons of excavation of a cairn surrounded by a ditch and small satellite mounds. Two of the stones in the cairn have been known for a long time to be decorated with Megalithic Art– although a scatter of prehistoric material was found. This included a Leaf-shaped arrowhead, a sherd of a Food Vessel and a sherd of Carrowkeel ware; excavation revealed no evidence of the presumed central chamber. One interesting discovery was a number of Early Iron-Age cremation burials associated with which were a fibula and some decorated glass beads.
