In October 1963 the Museum received a report that a cist grave was known to be located in Balrowan townland, near Killucan, Co. Westmeath.281 The site was visited by Étienne Rynne and Peter Danaher. On arrival they found that the exact site of the cist was not known and could not be located, although the approximate location has been marked on the map. The site was therefore not investigated.
