In September 1963 human remains were discovered protruding from a cliff face at Castletown, near Kinsale, Co. Cork.58 The find was made by Mr J.C. Howard of Magdalene College, Oxford, who informed the NMI. The site was not investigated but was referred to Professor M.J. O’Kelly in University College, Cork. It is not certain whether the site was ever examined and its location is not known.
