In May 1959 approximately seven skeletons were discovered during digging works at the site of Hotel Enda, 40 Lower Dominick Street, Galway City (td Townparks).108 The remains were reported to be buried approximately 6ft below ground level. According to one report, the remains were lying head to head rather than parallel to one another. The site was reported to the Museum and visited by Étienne Rynne, but by that time the site had been covered by concrete. The site was not visited by National Museum personnel.
