In May 1956 human remains were discovered following a collapse at a sandpit at Kyle, near Timahoe, Co. Laois.156 According to the workers in the sandpit, a human skull and some bones were noted, but no grave-goods or structural stones were noted in the vicinity. The site was not investigated and the remains were not acquired. The precise location of the sandpit was not recorded.
