A total of six test trenches were excavated. Each trench measured 1.8m in width, with a total of 201 linear meters excavated. The topsoil consisted mainly of mid- to dark-brown silty clay. Natural was exposed at an average depth of 0.6-1m and consisted of yellow-orange boulder clay.

During trenching, path/wall foundations were identified running north to south-east to west within the excavated trenches. Cartographic evidence from the 1904 3rd edition 25-inch OS map shows paths and structures connected to the gatehouse belonging to Glenam House to the north-east of the site. Possible traces of these structures were identified across the site in the excavated test trenches. These features contained frequent fragments of red brick and stone and were heavily disturbed by modern material. These features were recorded as modern in date and therefore non-archaeological.

Test trenching did not identify any archaeological material within the site. Hence, there will be no archaeological impact. The work is now complete, and no further archaeological mitigation is required.
