An abandoned house ruins were to be demolished to make way for a new dwelling, garage, foul treatment system and access road. Some of the works came within the constraint zone for a rath (MA091-012—-) which contains a souterrain (MA091-012001-) and located about 20m outside west to north limits of the site. eight trenches all 2.1m wide were excavated and no archaeology was evident.
