Landowner stated in 1987 that while working the land the ground gave way beneath a tractor wheel and upon examination he observed a “stone- lined passage” (MA090-132—-). Plans for a new house with garage, driveway and percolation area necessitated test trenches and testing did not reveal such a feature. Nothing archaeological turned up from the testing and the feature has never been fully resolved.
