Archaeological monitoring was undertaken of 115m Uisce Éireann watermains replacement on the R448 and R700 between the northern and eastern entrances to Newtown Terrace residential estate. 1.2m to 1.4m depths were achieved with pits excavated to accommodate pipe bursting: flushing and reuse of existing watermains. No archaeology was encountered.
