Archaeological test excavation was undertaken on 22 April 2026 on a site at Vicar Street, Tuam, Co Galway (Townparks 2nd Division and Town Parks 3rd Division Townlands).
Two trenches measuring a total of 38 linear meters were excavated across the site. The main fill was a mixed brown clay with frequent inclusions of masonry rubble. No archaeological finds or features were exposed.
