Archaeological Monitoring of landscaping and park upgrade works undertaken in St Cuthbert’s Park, Kilmahudrick, Clondalkin, Co Dublin. St Cuthbert’s Park centres on three Recorded Monuments– the ruin of the medieval parish church and graveyard (DU017-038001- and DU017-038002- respectively), and an adjoining medieval moated site (DU017-038003). The three monuments are entered collectively in the Record of Protected Structures (RPS) in the current South County Development Plan 2022-2028 as RPS133. Monitoring of vegetation removal within the RMP took place under Ministerial Consent No. E005671. Works in the wider park were monitored under Licence No 24E0398. Works took place between April 2024 and May 2026.
No additional features, finds or deposits of archaeological significance were identified during the course of monitoring.
