Archaeological monitoring attendance was provided to all groundworks associated with the construction of a second playing pitch west of the existing club grounds at Castlelands, Lismore, Co. Waterford.
The development will comprise of a new playing pitch with perimeter fencing, ball netting and all associated site works. The development works are partially within the Zone of Notification for a Recorded Monument, WA020-016 road – road/trackway; a monument known as the Bóthar Na Naomh, ‘the Saint’s Road’.
