Licensed archaeological testing at Silver View, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary was undertaken in October 2025. The proposed development site comprises of 0.882ha of a greenfield area located within the townland of Nenagh North and at the south-west urban limits of Nenagh town.

A series of eight test trenches (T1-T8) extending for c.480m were opened across the limits of the site. The recorded stratigraphy in all trenches was similar and comprised of mid-grey silty sandy topsoil that overlaid yellow or mid-orange, clayey sand natural subsoil. All trenches were excavated to a depth that varied from 0.25m to 0.4m

Nothing of archaeological interest was found in any of the trenches. Apart from a small number of modern finds, no archaeological artefacts were recovered during the testing and nothing of archaeological interest was noted in any of the trenches.
