A total of 47 trenches were excavated. Each trench measured 1.8m in width, and, in total, 4472m of linear trenches were excavated. The topsoil was a greyish-brown silty clay. The natural varied from a light grey gravelly clay to an orange boulder clay. Several modern agricultural features were noted in the trenches, such as furrows, field drains, and ceramic field drains.
No archaeological structures, features or deposits were observed or exposed within the trenches. The proposed development will have no impact on any archaeology. No further work is recommended.
