A total of 6 test trenches were excavated across the footprint of the proposed site development. In total, 58m of linear trenches were excavated. A spread of cobbles was found in Trench 6, to the east of the site, near the boundary wall. Three fragments of clay pipe (24E1047:3:1-3) and a sherd of white glazed ceramic (24E1047:3:1) were found amongst the cobbles, giving the feature a modern date.
No archaeological structures, features, or deposits were identified in the trenches. The proposed development will not impact any archaeology. Therefore, no further mitigation works are required.
