A vacant plot of flat land, 2.99 ha in size, was earmarked for afforestation under forestry licence CN92386. Archaeological material had already been found close by during topsoil-stripping in 2011 (O’Donovan 2011:371) and 2012 (O’Donovan 2012:331). Because of this and the proximity of designated archaeological sites, the ground preparation for the woodland was monitored on behalf of Uisce Éireann. Nothing of archaeological significance was recovered.
