Archaeological testing was undertaken in association with a proposed residential development at Cloghers townland, Tralee, Co. Kerry. There are three recorded archaeological sites within the study area of the proposed development. The closest comprises a ring ditch situated c. 15m to the south (KE029-280).
Test trenching was carried out over the course of two days in October 2025. A total of 14 trenches were excavated across the site measuring 665 linear metres. A temporary compound, in the northern portion of the site, prevented excavation of Trench 1 while Trenches 2 and 3 could only be partially opened. No archaeology was found during investigations of the site.
