The monitoring works involved the removal and replacement of a 11kV pole which was adjacent to a ráth (FER193:018) within the townland of Coa. These works involved the extraction of the pole. An auger was used to excavate the same cutting so that its depth would provide sufficient support for the erection of the new pole. As such, the excavation of a supporting trench was not necessary. These works revealed nothing of archaeological significance.

The cutting of another 11kV pole which was adjacent to a ráth (FER192:003) within the townland of Drumcullion was also archaeologically monitored and revealed nothing of archaeological significance.
