Archaeological monitoring of topsoil removal was carried out on the site of a proposed substation and associated compound at Mainscourt, Ballyboghil, Co. Dublin, from 4-13 February 2024. There was generally 0.25m of light grey/brown fine silt topsoil over orange/brown compact silty clay subsoil. A couple of small stone-filled land drains were uncovered during monitoring. No archaeology was found.
