The development site lies partly within the archaeological zone of notification for the Historic Town of Saggart (DU021-034—-). It is situated within the wider Citywest Campus and has been subject to prior disturbance, as evidenced through aerial photographic analysis and confirmed during an on-site inspection. The ground level has been significantly reduced and now comprises a hard-standing surface. Previous test excavations immediately east of the proposed development area revealed no archaeological material. Monitoring of groundworks did not uncover any objects or features of archaeological significance.
