Following an archaeological impact assessment in May 2025, archaeological test excavation was conducted in advance of development of a new guesthouse with café facilities. The test excavation identified that the site’s overlying stratigraphy had been extensively removed during construction of a former early 20th-century dwelling on the site. All encountered soils were natural in nature and no archaeological material was encountered.
