Archaeological monitoring at Porthaw Holy Well was undertaken on 27 February 2025. The works that were monitored included the excavation of three foundation pits (A, B, C) for a new handrail and a foundation pit for a new interpretive sign, as well as the lifting of a broken flagstone and the collection and inspection of stones and boulders from the seashore, to be used in the building of a wall beside the well. Nothing archaeological interest was identified during the monitoring works.
