Monitoring of groundworks was carried out at the site of Scoil Íosagáin in Buncrana prior to the construction of new school buildings. Topsoil was removed from the site to expose a gravely/sandy natural or made-up ground. Several test pits were dug around the site to determine its stratigraphy. Foundation trenches were also excavated. No archaeological features or artefacts were found during the monitoring of these groundworks.
