Archaeological monitoring was undertaken of a portion of an approved Watermains Rehabilitation Scheme being carried out on behalf of Uisce Éireann that crossed the Zone of Notification (ZoN) for Recorded Monument CO032-092—- (Ringfort – rath) in Skarragh townland, between the villages of Glantane and Drommahane, Co. Cork. The construction methodology was Horizontal Directional Drilling, which entailed the excavation of rectangular pits in the edge of the road, into which the drill head was inserted and received. One of these pits was located within the ZoN for the Ringfort, but no archaeology was found.
