Archaeological monitoring took place of groundworks at Kenny Fuels on Main Street, Ferns, Co. Wexford. Monitoring confirmed that no finds or features of archaeological significance will be impacted by the proposed development and that the site has been extensively disturbed from previous excavations associated with the development of the existing fuel yard. The north-east corner of the site was least disturbed, and natural ground was exposed at a depth of 0.40m below existing ground level, however no finds or features were identified during monitoring of groundworks in this area.
