Archaeological monitoring of housing development took place in which five archaeological zones were identified. Zones 1 to 4 consisted of burnt spreads of a prehistoric nature, while Zone 5 was the remains of a 18th to 19th-century brick clamp.

These locations were excavated between 16 September and 27 November 2024. The burnt spreads consisted of heat-shattered stone and charcoal-rich soil, that were overlying a number of pits, with some post-holes. The excavation of the brick clamp determined that it is most likely a dump of poor quality brick consistent with 17th to 18th-century construction.

The preliminary excavation report is currently being complied and materials assessed for further post-excavation analysis.
