Archaeological monitoring of a housing development took place between 16 October 2023 and 17 September 2024.  The topsoil was stripped to the surface of the underlying natural subsoil by a depth of between 0.2m and 0.3m. It was up to 0.4m in depth close to the field boundary to the east side of the site. The natural underlying subsoil varied from orange sticky silty clay with some decayed stone inclusions to grey-yellow compact clayey glacial till with frequent decayed and undecayed limestone inclusions. No archaeology was encountered.
