This report pertains to the laying a 5.5m long pipeline connecting from an external meter enclosure outside 13A Merrion Row to an existing 180 PE-80 25 mbar main running along Merrion Row. DU018-020535–; the Huguenot Cemetery is located roughly 40m to the northwest.

The pipeline route was excavated in a section of roadway and pavement using the open-cut method. The pipeline trench measured 500mm in width and reached a depth of roughly 600mm maximum and was 5m in total length. Beneath the road surface and paving there was a thick layer of concrete and leamix which overlay earlier service lines in a sandy matrix. At the southernmost end at the connection with 13A there was a deposit of sand mixed with red brick. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted.
