Archaeological monitoring of ground reduction works was undertaken during public realm works at the Diamond, Donegal Town between 21 February and 12 March 2024. These excavations were through existing modern layers and only reached the natural subsoil in a few areas associated with the excavation of an electricity cable trench. Nothing archaeological was identified during the archaeological monitoring.
