Monitoring was carried out during of redevelopment of later 19th-century outbuildings associated with Granaghan House. The site is adjacent to the ruins of Granaghan Castle (CL042-114—-). The archaeological monitoring of groundworks took place within and immediately adjacent to two later 19th-century stone-built structures that were likely formerly used as agricultural outbuildings and as a greenhouse. Stone rubble and tumble was removed within both buildings. This rubble was reduced by 0.4–0.5m. Natural geological deposits were not encountered. A metal detector was used to scan spoil. Some modern metal refuse was identified but not retained.
Nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
