Planning permission is being sought for two residential properties on lands northwest of 154 Seven Mile Straight, Muckamore.
An archaeological evaluation of the site was conducted. This consisted of the excavation of four test trenches across the location of the former rath ANT 55:94. The test excavations identified no evidence of the rathR or any other archaeological deposits and demonstrated that the site has been significantly in-filled. This would suggest that the proposed development will have no impact upon known, subsurface archaeological deposits. The extent of previous groundworks in the development areas would suggest that any potential, unknown subsurface deposits will have been significantly impacted upon.
