Licenced archaeological monitoring and metal detection of groundworks were carried out at residential development at Avondale Grange, Ballygannon, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow. The development site is located approximately 450m west of the centre of Rathdrum village. The groundwork monitoring was carried out in five phases from May 2021 to July 2023.
No additional finds, features or deposits of archaeological interest were identified during this phase of testing.
