The site at Collier’s Lane, Baltray, Co. Louth, was archaeologically assessed by test trenching. The assessment involved the excavation of five test trenches, each measuring 1.8m in width with a total of 162m of linear trenches excavated. The test trenches were excavated to the natural subsoil, which consisted of yellow-brown and grey sand. No archaeological features or deposits were identified within the excavated trenches. Consequently, no further archaeological work is
recommended at this site.
