A proposed extension and alteration at an existing dwelling together with new access drive is located within the constraint zone for a monument shown as a roughly circular enclosure on 1838 OS map (GA027-011—-). There is no surface trace of the monument today. The Archaeological Inventory for Co. Galway 1987 have classified the site as a ringfort – unclassified. Ten 2m-wide test trenches were excavated with no evidence for the presence of archaeology
