Archaeological testing was carried out over the course of two days from 22 May 2023 at Glasnevin Hill, Dublin 9. Testing followed on from recommendations made within an archaeological assessment for the site carried in 2021. Testing was carried out using a mechanical excavator fitted with a flat grading bucket. Four test trenches were excavated measuring c. 93 linear meters. Archaeological testing uncovered evidence of walls and waste pits, which are considered to be 19th-century activity on the site.
